Sharing Results
We are always striving to make participation in the TDDP as easy and seamless as possible. Now you can submit your data with a single click by making our Embark account a shared contact on your dogs profile.
It is that simple! All you need to do is follow the written tutorials below and we can have your dog's data added to our program and be first to access new features as we grow.
Some possible benefits or perks to adding the TDDP as a shared contact are:
- Genetic Report for existing dogs prior to May 2018
- Possible inclusion in breed or trait testing before official release
- Invites to soft releases of new feature in Embark and/or the TDDP
- Additional surveys, submissions, and data collection to be used in conjunction with your dog's DNA results
Embark has added a new feature that we are excited to share with you and utilize to its fullest potential.
You can now assign shared contacts in your dog's Embark profile.
While this can serve many purposes and there are multiple access levels, we are using this feature to offer special access to future program participation. As we continue to test more dogs, we are looking at ways to allow interested or active participants ways to benefit early from our new features, additional research, etc. By having the official TDDP Embark account as a shared contact, we can have Embark pull directly from our account to continue their work.
This in no way affects the control or ownership of your dogs data. This only allows us to view your data and Embark to more efficiently utilize your data for breed research.
To add the TDDP as a shared contact on your dog's profile, follow these steps:
- Log into your Embark account
- Click on the dog's profile to which you want to add TDDP as a shared contact
- Click "Edit Profile"
- Scroll down to the "Ownership" section
- Click "Edit" next to "Primary and Shared Ownership"
- Under the "Add a shared owner" section, enter TDDP's email: embark@tamaskandogdiversityproject.com
- Click the "Add Shared Owner" button
- You should now have embark@tamaskandogdiversityproject.com on your list of shared contacts. Do not select any of the checkboxes.
*If you do not check any of the boxes, then we can only view your account and cannot make any changes. If you accidentally check any of these boxes, we will not make any changes on your dog's profile.
